Mr Underhill’s, Ludlow

Located in a picture-book setting in the beautiful market town of Ludlow, Mr Underhill’s is a well known foodie haunt. After running a restaurant in Suffolk for 16 years, owners Chris and Judy Bradley, moved to Ludlow in 1997 to offer rooms alongside their tasting menu. As you would expect, the best ingredients are used and most are local and organic. A typical menu includes chestnut custard with crispy smoked duck and fillet of Mortimer Forest venison with red wine, elderberry and thyme. Seven rooms and two suites are available if you want to make a weekend of it. The seven-course tasting menu starts at £45, while double rooms with breakfast are £140.
