It has almost become standard practice for Apple to bring out a new, eagerly awaited product and then expect its loyal customers to fork out for new accessories, as at least one essential feature differs from all previous models. The much-hyped iPhone, launched last year, is no exception. The device has a recessed headphone jack, meaning that few headphones, other than Apple's (of course) are compatible with it. This is apparently in order to "maintain the integrity of the design".
Those looking for an alternative could do worse than these Vibe Duo headphones. Developed especially with the iPhone in mind by Californian firm V-Moda, these lightweight, noise-isolating in-ear headphones feature a microphone with a call-button that allows you to take calls and control the music functions hands-free.
Vibe Duo headphones come with three sizes of silicon fittings and a leather pouch, and are priced at £69.95.
