Laptop one-upsmanship rarely centres on style. Sartorial elegance is traditionally usurped by ergonomics—outside Apple's R&D lab, at least. This glorious machine, however, has followed a different path. Goal number one for Ego's Bentley laptop is to turn heads, and turn they will, particularly if you carry it by the handle: closed up, it looks like Cruella DeVil's handbag. You'll draw gasps with the pricetag, too. £10,000 would fill two or three shopping trolleys in Dixons.
Get a bit closer, though, and the fastidious attention to detail becomes more apparent. Each machine is hand-built in chrome, and leather, tailor-made to your exact specification: crossover hand-stitching, white-gold frame engraved with the machine's unique number, and matching leather and lacquer finishes. It's also got a 2GB internal memory and a 160GB SATA hard disk drive, but you're not really interested in hearing about that, are you?
